identifying discipline-specific competencies.
- CSU librarians complete feedback on

- IC Team draws up discipline-specific competencies
checklist, places checklist on WWW, prints and
distributes to participating libraries.
- CSU librarians initiate faculty outreach
(personal contact or questionnaire) to solicit
suggestions for the discipline-specific
competencies checklist.
- CSU librarians collate faculty outreach results
and revise discipline-specific competencies
checklist.
- IC Team places final list on WWW.
- Team seeks additional funding for further
collaborative librarian-faculty efforts.
Information Competence Course

- IC Team develops course outline.
- IC Team teaches pilot course in Spring Quarter,
1997.
- IC Team evaluates pilot course.
- IC Team assesses which course components could be
integrated into the curriculum of various
departments.
